About Amalya Nané Tumanian
Nané (Amalya Tumanian) has artwork that is exhibited locally, internationally and in many private and corporate collections. Her recent one-person art-show were exhibited at the Gallerie Gavart, Paris, France, and the Living Room Gallery, Tualatin, Oregon, USA. She is represented by the Carre d’artistes, Aix-in-Provence, France., and The Athens Galley, Greece.
Among notable shows are SeeMe; SCOPE Miami, USA; IDSVA Juried Group Show; AW Asia, NY, NY; and Taipei Revolution, International Art Fair, Taipei, Taiwan. As a long-time practicing artist, she works in traditional genres and styles and experimenting with many other media and techniques as well. Her works and life have been highlighted in many periodicals in the USA and abroad.
Nané received her MFA from the Academy of Art University where she was also working as a tutor for undergraduate and graduate students. Most recently she earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Art Criticism, and Aesthetics at the Institute of Doctoral Studies in Visual Arts (IDSVA). She also holds a BA in Industrial Design from the Yerevan State Academy of Arts, Armenia, and M.Ed. from the Marylhurst University, Marylhurst, USA.
Currently she lives in Portland, Oregon, USA.
