A graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Amber Allen is a contemporary painter who works primarily in oils and watercolor. She uses these contrasting mediums to keep her mind and work balanced between opaqueness and transparency.
To her, this means keeping in mind the underlying principles of reality: that all matter is essentially composed of energy.
Amber’s main inspirations come from her Jewish heritage and her love of science and science fiction. The ideals central to her faith and the universal truths becoming apparent through science encourage her to delve into the mysteries of how and why the world believes as it does, whether those beliefs be religious or secular.
Amber lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is represented by ZK Gallery in San Francisco. Amber has exhibited work in solo and group shows in California and South Carolina.
