Jon Tocchini is an artist born and raised in San Francisco, California. He received his B.F.A. Degree from the Academy of Art University, School of Fine Art.
From an early age, Jon loved to draw and participated in art classes at the San Francisco de Young Museum and the Fort Mason Art Center. Jon pursued advanced study at the Academy of Art University, where his work in painting, charcoal drawing, sculpture, and design received exhibition recognition and highest awards. His work has been presented in numerous fine art auctions and exhibitions in San Francisco, Sausalito, Stockton, and Pleasanton, California.
Recently, Jon’s painting, Market Street to Twin Peaks, was included in the CAC sponsored exhibition titled “City by the Bay” held at STUDIO Gallery in San Francisco. STUDIO Gallery included several of Jon’s still life paintings in their recent exhibit “Alphabet Soup.” Jon’s paintings, Funny Money, and Butters Knows Better, received Honorable Mention Awards in the Oil Painters of America “ONLINE SHOWCASE.”
Currently, Jon’s still life painting, Seasonal Favorites, and portrait, My Blue Dress, may be viewed in the May/June 2019 issue of the magazine Fine Art Connoisseur. His landscape painting, Shasta Reflections, was included in the June/July 2019 CAC and Harrington Gallery sponsored exhibition titled “Bay Area Parks: Outdoor Treasures.”
Jon has developed an ongoing professional relationship with the organization Painting for Good Causes where he donates his time and talent painting several portraits of clients per year. He works from his studio located in the Parkside District of San Francisco. He is a member of the California Art Club (CAC) and Associate Member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA).
