Michael Wiens is a Canadian-born artist and a 2012 MFA Graduate from the Academy of Art. In 2004, he received a BFA in Painting and Design from the University of Alberta where he studied printmaking, painting and visual communications.
Michael’s paintings have been exhibited at the Palace of Fine Art and at the Cannery Galleries in San Francisco. In 2013 he was awarded Editor’s Choice in the Artist Portfolio Magazine, and was a portrait/figure finalist in The Artist’s Magazine.
In 2014, Michael exhibited his works at the 7th annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival – a premiere epicurean event on the West Coast. Under representation by Anne Thull, current paintings may be viewed at his home gallery in Carmel California.
In addition to being a Professional Development Art and STEAM consultant and maintaining his studio, Michael is also a faculty member of Ridley College in St. Catharines, Ontario where he instructs visual art in their upper school.
