Wendy McDermott earned her MFA in Spatial Art from San Jose State University. Her undergraduate degree is in English from Sonoma State University.
Her teaching experience includes the Academy of Art University (since 2010), Contra Costa College, Richmond Art Center, The Crucible, Mission College, San Jose State University, Adobe Art Center, Ohlone College, as well as teaching assistantships at San Jose State University, Penland School, Meredith College, and substitute teaching in the Castro Valley Unified School District.
Her work has been exhibited in solo, group and juried shows locally, nationally, and internationally. Ms. McDermott’s work has appeared in the 500 Book Series, Metalsmith Magazine, and Ornament Magazine.
“Fearless Hearts” is a line of fashion jewelry that involve donating a percentage of the profits to support various non-profit organizations. Her fine art, limited edition and one-of-a-kind jewelry includes everything from sterling silver to 18k and 22k gold with set, precious stones.
